Description Marek Królikowski 2010-05-17 11:52:17 UTC
I got BIG dns with 10000+ zones.
When i try restart a named process:
/etc/init.d/named restart
named stop but don`t start

But when i give:
/etc/init.d/named stop
sleep 10
/etc/init.d/named start
Working good.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. /etc/init.d/named restart
2.
3.

Actual Results:
DNS1 ~ # /etc/init.d/named restart
 * Stopping chrooted named ...                                            [ ok ]
 * Starting chrooted named ...                                            [ !! ]

Nothing in daemon.log and other logs :/

Expected Results:
DNS1 ~ # /etc/init.d/named restart
 * Stopping chrooted named ...                                            [ ok ]
 * Starting chrooted named ...                                            [ OK ]

The init-script and esp. the chroot part became major changes in >=9.6.x
so if possible please test one of the more recent versions and let me know if it works.
