Description crusaderky 2003-10-25 02:54:18 UTC
I try to run kfind with the following options:

Name: *
Path: <a directory containing 350 text files of about 107MB of total size>
Include subdirs: no
case sensitive: no
[Contents]
file type: all files and directories
containing the text: <search pattern, without * or any other wilcards>
case sensitive: no
regular expression: no

Then I start it. It freezes and never gets out of there.
The corresponding grep command successfully terminates in less than a second.

closing as an upstream problem - if it persists in latest kde versions please file a bug at bugs.kde.org
