aquaria only lists a filename, not the url (it has a fetch restriction) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge aquaria 2. 3. Actual Results: Calculating dependencies... done! >>> Verifying ebuild manifests >>> Emerging (1 of 1) games-arcade/aquaria-1.1.3 !!! games-arcade/aquaria-1.1.3 has fetch restriction turned on. !!! This probably means that this ebuild's files must be downloaded !!! manually. See the comments in the ebuild for more information. * The following are listed in SRC_URI for aquaria: * aquaria-lnx-humble-bundle.mojo.run * Fetch failed for 'games-arcade/aquaria-1.1.3', Log file: * '/var/tmp/portage/games-arcade/aquaria-1.1.3/temp/build.log' >>> Failed to emerge games-arcade/aquaria-1.1.3, Log file: >>> '/var/tmp/portage/games-arcade/aquaria-1.1.3/temp/build.log' Expected Results: it should list a url or some explanation how to get the file
Well, actually this ebuild is for the full game, which is still closed-source and isn't "for free". Very soon, the code will be open source, but I guess the assets (the game data) will still be "closed". Thus, you're supposed to buy this game, download it from the link you will receive at your mail, and put the downloaded file at the distfiles dir.
Yes, but there aren't any links, or any other information in the Aquaria website about the Linux version, so what's the *¤#%& point of this ebuild?
the ebuild should at least say you should buy it and possibly link where to buy it
ebuilds exist for an obvious reason: to manage installed packages since it is a closed source game, visit the HOMEPAGE and click the obvious "Buy the game" link. this isnt rocket science.
(In reply to comment #4) > since it is a closed source game, visit the HOMEPAGE and click the obvious > "Buy the game" link. this isnt rocket science. Have you tried that? There's only Windows/Mac to buy there. There's no way to buy Linux version on the HOMEPAGE - right now and in the past, maybe this will be changed (and/or it will go opensource). Humble Indie Bundle is over, so it would be nice to add some info for users... Just like mentioned before, you just have to read the comments, it's not rocket science: (In reply to comment #2) > Yes, but there aren't any links, or any other information in the Aquaria > website about the Linux version *snip*
