Gstreamer-0.7.1 came out a couple days ago. According to the release notes, it
has working ALSA support and lots of other goodies. Apparently 0.7.1 works well
with Rhythmbox. Will we see an ebuild anytime soon?

unstable development series, no you won't see it. (this goes with Gnome 2.5
development series)
