After I have updated some for python2.6 and mu USE flag with some setting, and only running with kernel 2.6.25.r7 while another newer kernel as 2.6.30-r5 makes to not like to find root mount and path, the profile is been updatet to 10.1, is I trying to run emerge -au world and emerge -uND to update the system on my x86 gentoo pc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -au world + emerge -uND 2. THe same command 3. Actual Results: First comes 2 line of some USE flag settings. Then this : Total: 2 packages (1 upgrade, 1 in now slot), Size of Downloads: 77,742 kb Error: Circular depedencies. ('ebuild' '/' 'sys-devel/gcc-4.4.3-r2' 'merge') depends on ('ebuild' '/' 'sys-libs/libc-2.11.1' 'merge') (buildtime) ('ebuild' '/' 'sys-libs/glibc-2.11.1' 'merge') depends on ('ebuild' '/' sys-devel/gcc-4.4.3-r2' 'merge') (buildtime) And nothing is done more. Expected Results: It shoudl have merge and compile for update.

Well, gcc 4.3 has been in stable for many months, yet you've got only 4.1. Try emerging gcc 4.3, then glibc, then moving to gcc 4.4.

I think I maybe can have found the error on it not would work, by one little sign there not should be in my make.conf Moving the sign away has not made it so emerge -au world is running and working with 86 new updates to manage it.
