in vesaframebuffer and often in xterm scrolling is annoyingly slow in less. adding LESS=-c could improve gentoo newbie's impression (especially if a newbie came from a platform where less works fast) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot from livecd 2. execute 'less <some-long-text-file>' 3. try navigating PgUp PgDn Actual Results: less slowly scrolls up and down Expected Results: fast navigation, just like i used to in console gentoo 1.4 on sony vaio pcg-f403, but i had the same experience on many other boxes, but hesitated to file a feature request.
