Maybe some kind of incompatibility with smp or ataraid or reiserfs, but the install process has hung twice, seemingly when trying to delete many files at once. The first time, I saw using ps that a rm -rf command was trying to run. The second time I couldn't do a ps but top had ebuild.sh at the top of the list and the console I was doing the emerge on had hung. After rebooting this most recent time, reiserfsck found 23 transactions to play back. Then upon mounting the drive it found 9 uncompleted unlinks/truncates.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
