Description Tobias Klausmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-03 19:17:07 UTC
rsync5.de will move soon, hence, it'd be nice to add the new IP to the rsync1.us ACLs, let me sync for a few days, then change over the actual DNS records.

Old IP: 194.97.4.250
New IP: 178.63.25.207

Added. Let us know when the box is up so we can monitor it as well before making it live in the rotations.

Seems to be syncing fine, no error messages. If/When your monitoring says it's good enough, feel free to change over the DNS entries.

Adding to GARD for monitoring.

"rsync://178.63.25.207 is lagging (delta is 00d 14h 56m 16s)"

Are you sure you sure the sync is set up correctly?
Comment 5 Tobias Klausmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-04 12:25:40 UTC
Cron chose to completely ignore my entry in /etc/crontab. Fixed that by restarting crond.

DNS updated for rsync.europe, rsync.de, & rsync5.de.

TTLs are 30 minutes for the rotations and 24h for rsync5.de. Kill old server at your discretion.

Tobias, I've removed the old mirror from the rsync1.us ACL now, so there's nothing left to do from our side. The old mirror shouldn't be seeing any traffic, and won't be able to sync from rsync1.us any more.

Thanks for the mirror!
