Comment 2 J.C. Wren 2010-05-03 15:18:27 UTC
x11-drivers/xf86-video-mga is 1.4.11
x11-base/xorg-x11 is 7.4-r1
x11-base/xorg-server is 1.8.0
kde-base/kde-meta is 4.4.2
Comment 3 J.C. Wren 2010-05-16 12:30:39 UTC
Bumping this to major since it's keeping two systems from working, and it hasn't been reassigned.
Comment 4 Jorge Manuel B. S. Vicetto (RETIRED) Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev 2010-05-16 13:17:00 UTC
This seems to be a xorg driver issue. I have no idea how good matrox support is on current X.org versions.
Have you tried using xdm or startx with tmw and see if it works?
Comment 5 Jorge Manuel B. S. Vicetto (RETIRED) Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev 2010-05-16 13:18:18 UTC
Sorry, changing to correct maintainer.
Comment 6 J.C. Wren 2010-05-16 19:07:16 UTC
After upgrading from xorg-sever-1.8.0 to 1.8.1, xfree-x86-mga now emerges correctly.

I'm not sure if this should be changed to FIXED, left open, or what. I'll leave it to the maintainers to change the status.

Thanks!
Comment 7 J.C. Wren 2010-05-16 19:09:22 UTC
Premature comment post. Please disregard, still broken.

Please try again with x11-drivers/xf86-video-mga-1.4.12
Comment 9 J.C. Wren 2010-05-21 16:06:26 UTC
1.4.12 fixes it. Thanks!
Comment 10 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-05-22 11:32:32 UTC
Closing fixed then.

Thanks
