This is missing:
1) emerge --info
2) build.log from portage
3) emerge -pv openoffice
4) emerge -pv gcc
5) a link to the relevant upstream bug report: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=109853

Please address these matters before you reopen the bug.

it seem this is a problem during world update when system is much more unstable. after all other package update finish and reboot, it reproduced the problem of http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317207, and the patch works well. so this report should be closed now.
