Neither the regular nor the live ebuilds install /etc/init.d/freenet, despite the postinstallation instructions of the package: "1. Start freenet with /etc/init.d/freenet start." Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install freenet-0.7.5_p1245 or freenet-9999 Actual Results: /etc/init.d/freenet does not exist A user that does not know how to start the daemon manually or roll his own init.d script would not be able to use the program at all.
I have no idea, why this would happen. So i need following infos: -emerge --info -complete build.log -output of "emerge -pv freenet"
The machine where I originally saw this problem was using the Funtoo tree instead of the Gentoo tree. (I have both trees installed on a NFS share) For some reason the Funtoo tree is missing net-p2p/freenet/files/freenet but I'll take that up with them.
Since this is nothing i can fix in Gentoo, i will close this bug as cantfix.
