Hi all, I recommend hattya (hattya@inter7.jp) as a new gentoo developer. He does excellent work mainly on Japanese input method and is extending his interest to other field such as gauche (scheme interpreter) and subversion. I asked him about this offer three weeks ago and he said he is willing to be a dev if he could. As one of the cjk developers I confirm he has demonstrated his ability to maintain cjk ebuild fantastically (I suppose other devs in cjk herd think so too) and I'd be very happy if we could welcome him as a new gentoo developer. I don't know his real name but I'm not sure if one's real name matters to be a dev (I would say "no," but I don't know Gentoo policy about it). If that will become a problem (I hope not), would you mind if I ask your real name, hattya? Information about hattya: Name: (blank) Physical location: Japan Email: hattya@inter7.jp Areas of responsibility: CJK Mentor: usata@gentoo.org I'll give him the usual drill afterward.
seemant: he's just finished two weeks training period. What's next?
jon, can you handle hattya? usata, hattya: please have hattya do the developer quiz at http://dev.gentoo.org/~avenj/quiz the quiz is to encourage researching the answers, it's not a closed-book pass/fail quiz then he has to email the answers to avenj and me
hattya: could you please send your answer to me as well? Thanks.
hattya, one final thing -- can you go to http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel and read the copyright-assignment stuff there. THen can you print the agreement, sign it, scan it and email it to recruiters@ please?

No response so far. Second mail sent today.
Sorry for the late response. My hard disk crashed, and I had not enough time to salvage. But now I have some time. Please give me a few days.
Sure. Please tell us what's your current status and what your plans regarding Gentoo development are.
It took longer than I expected to restore my Gentoo system. I will return to activity of Gentoo.
It's been almost a month since the second mail, and it's already 4 months since your last commit. Akinori, please resume your work so we can close this bug. We'll be really happy to finally see you back in the game.
I resumed activity. Please check my last commit.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm glad you're back to the project. Good luck and please do not appear on my lists ever again! :-)
