Install of xen and xen-tools is MISSING the components of hvm and pygrub. Please tell me I'm wrong. idella@gentoo64 ~ $ sudo ls /usr/lib/xen bin idella@gentoo64 ~ $ sudo ls /usr/lib64/xen bin idella@gentoo64 ~ $ I've checked and re-checked. I thought I might be missing USE flags, so I checked, and I ensured the use flags were in place, and doubled up with idella@gentoo64 ~ $ sudo USE="-acm -api -custom-cflags -debug -doc -flask -hvm -pygrub -screen" emerge xen-tools && USE="-acm -custom-cflags -debug -flask -pae -xsm" emerge xen and they still weren't there. I've got other bug submissions based on testing with the xen system in this state. They are obviously contaminated. I tried to find them and couldn't, and it took a while before I finally considered the notion that they just weren't there. I'm attaching the qlist to prove it, as attachments. Please tell me I'm wrong. Gentoo installs from source, so I shouldn't have to go the the xen,org source and re-do it all., besides, it's ungentoo like not to use the portage tailor made packages. I've been trying to install vms for some time and never suspected the gentoo package could be awry. Just tell me I'm wrong and there's a sensible explanation.

Created attachment 229875 [details] qlist of xen and xen-tools
Is this https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=282803? That's version 3.4.1. It looks very close. Has the patch been applied? My bug is xen 3.4.2. I would think it should have been fixed for 3.4.2. To get a working version I'm getting xen from source. The download is much bigger than gentoo's packages, they must be condensed from the xenbits source. Another reason why to prefer gentoo portage packes. It's 3.4.3, so gentoo is a version behind. Is it still in the pipeline? I haven't gleaned a release date for it. This way at least I can work xen in gentoo, save waiting perhaps until the next version does reach portage.
