Hi,

please don't be offended, but

- don't mess them up my using linux in an intoxicated condition
- is there anything that a sound set of chmod, chown and find -perm -exec can't fix?
- does this support ACLs? Homepage doesn't write about it.

well, identifying ELFs is a bit tricky but u can use scanelf or read the first 4 bits, scripts start with #! .

If u really wan't an ebuild, uare free to write one and attach it, see http://devmanual.gentoo.org for details.

And a personal note o the end, I would rater learn and use the tools i've mentioned than using as script that's know issue is "All files ...are assigned the same user ...".

(Please use appropriate summaries on your bugs)

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Markos.
