Whoops. Please remove that "echo" line in the ebuild.

Mark,

I tried to test this, but 5.1 has been removed from the SRC_URI, to be replaced
with 5.2 instead. When I compile it, I get all sorts of funny warnings.
Perhaps you could take a look and submit an ebuild for 5.2?

Thanks

ebuild for hdparm-5.2
Comment 5 Maik Schreiber 2002-06-18 09:56:53 UTC
I've submitted a new (and cleaned) ebuild for hdparm-5.2.

As for the compiler warnings, I'm getting those here, too:

/usr/include/linux/fs.h:172: warning: `BLKRRPART' redefined
/usr/include/sys/mount.h:80: warning: this is the location of the previous
definition

I'm not quite sure how to handle those, but hdparm runs fine for me here even
with those warnings (vanilla-sources-2.4.18 and glibc-2.2.5-r4).

I get even less compile time error's? I submitted the ebuild please test and
report problems... but seems to be working fine for me and you. I will probably
drop this bug soon since it seems to be taken care of

Works fine for me.

I made a mistake, though. In src_install(), please add the line "into /" at the
beginning of that function. With this line, hdparm will be installed as
/sbin/hdparm, whereas now it would be installed as /usr/sbin/hdparm. Sorry for that.

Looks done to me
Comment 9 Maik Schreiber 2002-07-07 15:55:23 UTC
No, it's not. The line "into /" is still missing. hdparm is installed as
/usr/sbin/hdparm, whereas it has to be installed as /sbin/hdparm.
