Description Munir Nassar 2003-10-21 08:58:24 UTC
I recently changed the URL for the strikeforce tarball and this breaks the games-fps/unreal-tournament-strikeforce-1.81.ebuild

The reason the URL changed is because my ISP was complaining about excessive bandwidth usage and so i had to rate-limit the downloads, it is currently limited at 8k/s.

the new URLs are as follows: http://strikeforce.redconcepts.net:8888/sf_180_server_files.tar.gz
http://strikeforce.redconcepts.net:8888/sf180lnx.zip
http://strikeforce.redconcepts.net:8888/SF180-181.tar.gz

I will try to slowly increase the limit as bandwidth permits but the limiting is a permanant thing i'm afraid.

are you getting a lot of traffic on that tarball ?
it should have been mirrored by now ...
Comment 2 Munir Nassar 2003-10-21 11:57:35 UTC
overall i am pushing a lot of traffic, how much of it is gentoo related?
i do not know.

i did an emerge sync over the weekend and it only had my tar.gz in the SRC_URI
but i see that it also has mirror as well now, but http://strikeforce.redconcepts.net/sf_180_server_files.tar.gz
is listed as well and at this time this will result in a 404.

ive listed the new URL as a comment in the ebuild and changed SRC_URI to
point to only the Gentoo mirrors ...

i had other mirrors originally but yours was the only reliable one ... i
didnt realize your website was hosted on such a 'private' connection ...
i hope we didnt cause too much trouble for you :/
