Trying to emerge mozilla-1.0rc3 results in a checksum error. Reason: Wrong md5 checksum in the distfile. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.0rc3/src/mozilla-source-1.0rc3.tar.bz2 has a md5 checksum of f30ac988ec8589285523315ebb8a7732. Cheers, Andreas
1) s/distfile/digest 2) Sorry, I cut&paste the wrong md5 checksum. The right one is 6d247c3527b7c52bb4f29228614bbe88.
Hmm ... seems fine this side. Sure your copy of mozilla-1.0rc3.tar.bz2 is not corrupt ? Try to download it again, or from a different mirror.
Yes I am sure that it's not corrupt ;-) The tarball on mozilla.org was changed recently. Do the following: cat /usr/portage/net-www/mozilla/files/digest-mozilla-1.0_rc3-r1 cat /usr/portage/net-www/mozilla/files/digest-mozilla-1.0_rc3-r2 The same tarball, but two different md5 sums! Only the one in digest-mozilla-1.0_rc3-r1 is correct. I see in the Changelog that Wout Mertens< wmertens@gentoo.org> has already changed the md5sum in digest-mozilla-1.0_rc3-r1 but not in digest-mozilla-1.0_rc3-r2.
Seems to be fixed.
