Description Anthoine Bourgeois 2010-04-20 17:43:18 UTC
My ncmpc is emerge with flags :
Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] media-sound/ncmpc-0.14 USE="artist-screen colors help-screen key-screen lyrics-screen mouse nls search-screen song-screen -debug" 242 kB

lyrics-screen permits by defaut to read lyrics on screen 7 of ncmpc but instead of lyrics I've got a backtrace (much more melodic). ncmpc isn't affected by this problem and continue to run.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run 'ncmpc'
2. choose a song in you playlist
3. press '7' to go to lyrics screen. The backtrace is here.

backtrace of the lyrics screen
Comment 2 Anthoine Bourgeois 2010-04-28 06:39:45 UTC
The lyrics search is performed by the /usr/lib/ncpmc/lyrics/30-leoslyrics.py script. This script requests http://api.leoslyrics.com/api_search.php which seems down and we get the problem. The script must handle the request error.

The new ebuild with the unpack function and the epatch to apply the previous attachment

Must I create a new ebuild with -r1 like this or simply the previous ebuild modified ? Must I send a full ebuild or the patch of the ebuild ?

This should go upstream (http://www.musicpd.org/mantis/).
