emerge fails while running the configure script checking for mozilla. I think 
adding mozilla as a dependency would solve the problem 

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge --umenrge mozilla 
2.emerge openvrml 
3. 
Actual Results:  
emerge failed 

Expected Results:  
install openvrml

Nice catch Thomas. In fact, by the looks of things the ebuild needs a rather
big overhaul; libpng, libjpeg etc are incorrectly used in the ebuild. Stay
tuned for a fix. :)

yep. even with mozilla installed, the compile fails eventually.

openvrml-0.14.1 has been updated in cvs.
