Description Alexey 2010-04-20 08:59:54 UTC
I installed app-office/openoffice-3.2.0 v1.18 (first stable for x86), it was OOo 3.2.0.7. But now I saw app-office/openoffice-3.2.0 ebuild v.1.22. And OOo version changed to 3.2.0.10.
So, OOo version changed, but ebuild version NOT changed. Now I have to update app-office/openoffice-3.2.0 manually, emerge -uNDv NOT do that.
Why DON'T do app-office/openoffice-3.2.0.10 ebuild???

Reproducible: Always

The answer to this is pretty straightforward: OOo-build was bumped and maintainer decided the changes introduced by it doesn't deem a revision or version bump. In the other words, if you have working OpenOffice 3.2.0 installed there's absolutely no need for you to recompile it, the changes are likely only small translation updates, build fixes, documentation fixes, and that sort of thing.
