I created a new ebuild for HP Array Configuration Utility CLI for Linux (short: hpacucli). The new version is highly recommended for everyone who are using the one of the previous versions. I tested it on 5+ servers, both AMD64 and X86, I found it perfecly stable. I'm also interested in maintaining this program if it's possible. Regards, Daniel

Don't attach anything without a comment. If the ebuild doesn't need to be changed - just say it. If you attach something, a unified diff is preferred.
You mean I should upload a diff to the previous version of the ebuild?
(In reply to comment #3) > You mean I should upload a diff to the previous version of the ebuild? > If it - apart from the version number or similar triviality - does differ, yes. Looking at attached files, downloading and diffing are slow and boring tasks. Probably we should have a script to deal with attachments semi-automatically. In any case: Easy to process bug reports means more productive developers and in the end a better user experience.
I perfectly understand and agree with you. I just followed the official ebuild submitting guide, but I'll do it this way next time.
Created attachment 228605 [details, diff] Patch for the previous version of hpacucli The changes are not to serious. The documentation has been removed from the rpm by HP, so it's downloaded seperately and handled correctly and the downloading URL changed.
Pushed to portage. Thanks for the report!
