Builds with sys-libs/zlib-1.2.3-r1, fails with zlib-1.2.4 and 1.2.5 Depending upon what I can do, looks like it might be time to drop this package even though there are no suitable replacements.
Debian also removed manedit, http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=515844 I was about to take a look at this but no way I'm installing GTK+-1.2, sorry. :-)
The last release was about 2 years ago, totall misdesigned build process (just look at the pconf stuff ;-o). My vote: either fix (aka: rewrite) the build process or drop the package. JIMHO.
I looked at pconf, no way that I'm messing with this considering that I have never been able to get upstream to respond to me about fixes to various QA warnings. I have masked for removal in 30 days.
app-text/manedit has been removed. I'll remove the package.mask entry after the removal has propagated.
