Description Ooblick 2003-10-20 04:45:03 UTC
Adding XMMS to Gnome 2.4 panel produces a dialog box: "Error. Failed to load
image mini/xmms_mini.xpm. Details: file not found".

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. From the Applications menu in Gnome 2.4, I select 'Multimedia'. This brings
up a list of applications including XMMS.
2. I right click on XMMS. A sub-menu appears.
3. I select "Add this launcher to panel".
Actual Results:
The following message appears in a dialog box: "Error. Failed to load image
mini/xmms_mini.xpm. Details: file not found"
A default icon is used instead. This is untidy.

Expected Results:
The file xmms_mini.xpm is installed in /usr/share/pixmaps/mini/xmms_mini.xpm. I
can manually change the icon image here after this error appears, but it would
be nice if it was automatically found.

Other programs (e.g. mozilla-firebird, evolution) are added correctly.

does xmms-1.2.8 fix this ?

I've just tried it in my "~x86" box, with xmms-1.2.8-rc2, and it produces
the same error.
Comment 5 Ooblick 2003-10-20 05:48:43 UTC
Sorry not xmms-1.2.8-rc2, but xmms-1.2.8-r2.

hmm we're not even in the metadate file, reassigning.

wild guess : maybe the xpm should go in /usr/share/pixmaps/xmms to be found
(?) should be able to find it in the source
Comment 7 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-01 00:47:12 UTC
This is working for me in the latest ebuilds (1.2.8-r4 and 1.2.9-r1). Are you still having this problems?
Comment 8 Ooblick 2004-02-02 11:40:20 UTC
Sorry I've been slow in closing this. It is fixed from xmms 1.2.7-r23.
