Thanks for the report, however the version tags in chromium do not all match released versions, more info on how we base our chromium builds: http://dev.gentoo.org/~phajdan.jr/ Also all releases (dev, beta, and stable when there are some) are here: http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/ chromium-bin is at 5.0.376.0 as the closest snapshot available to 5.0.379.5 is a few commits newer than the real release. But chromium-bin is another story, as it does not (and cannotàfollow chromium releases at all
