There is a new version of vmware-workstation 6.5 out. It's vmware-workstation-6.5.4. It's here: http://downloads.vmware.com/d/info/desktop_downloads/vmware_workstation/6_5 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start vmware-workstation-6.5.3 2. Notifies user that a new version is available 3. Actual Results: Notification that new vmware-workstation is available Expected Results: No notice
Just a quick update. It seems that this one may be quite easy. To test it, I just copied the existing 6.5.3 ebuild to my local overlay and renamed it to the correct 6.5.4 version name. Then I renamed (or actually, just symlinked) the 6.5.3 files in the files directory. It upgraded perfectly and is currently running without any problems. This is for amd64 arch.
Also want to mention that vmware-7 is out as well. http://downloads.vmware.com/d/details/wkst_701_lx/ZGolYmRqQCViZGR0Kg==
vmware-workstation 6.5.4 is in portage. Thanks.
