Description Sergey 'L29Ah' Alirzaev 2010-04-12 01:02:50 UTC
When I try to fire, for example, 'man bash' (with MANPAGER=vimmanpager), I get a random chunk of the man from the beginning. When MANPAGER=less, everything works well.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
man page being fully shown

Looks like this was my fault: i had NROFF /usr/bin/enconv -L ru -x KOI8-R | /usr/bin/nroff -mandoc -Tlatin1 -c | /usr/bin/enconv -L ru -x UTF-8 kludge in my man.conf for converting the codepage of russian manpages that outputted garbage that was ignored by less, but not vim. Switch to NROFF enconv -L ru -d -x koi8r | /usr/bin/nroff -Tlatin1 -mandoc -c | iconv -f koi8r -t utf8 made everything work perfectly.
