I am confused by the lib32 USE flag...where is that from. Otherwise can reproduce with Emacs 23, 22 is ok.
Comment 4 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2010-04-09 12:41:56 UTC
htmlfontify will be included with Emacs 23.2:
<http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/emacs/trunk/annotate/head%3A/lisp/htmlfontify.el>

I wonder if it's worth the effort to fix it just for Emacs 23.1. Looks like upstream doesn't think so, since there's no newer release than 0.20.
Comment 5 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-04-09 13:20:01 UTC
Let's make it block Emacs 23 and then wait for 23.2 to be released.

portage-multilib, tommy's project. See #gentoo-multilib-overlay

Sounds good :-). I haven't ever used htmlfontify myself and I probably just installed it without good reason a long time ago.

I've done this now, though I'm not really happy with this solution.
