Description urcindalo 2010-04-06 17:58:41 UTC
I just installed app-dicts/edictionary-2.2 on my mostly stable amd64 box.
Whenever I try to look for a word, it fails this way:

===
$ edict wall
edict - Your personal command line dictionary. Version 2.2.
Looking up "wall" in Merriam Webster Online Dictionary...
Don't understand Swahili words like wall ;)!!
$ ethes wall
edict - Your personal command line dictionary. Version 2.2.
Looking up "wall" in Merriam Webster Online Thesaurus...
No thesaurus entries found for wall.
===

Is anyone else suffering from this?

Reproducible: Always

Yup! I have the same problem. edict stopped working for me a long time ago, and I never had the time to figure-out the problem. It's too bad, too, because I *loved* edict!

It seems that this has been fixed in a more-recent release of edict. Though, it isn't in the Portage tree yet.

See bug #324857.

2.6 was just added to the tree. FIXED.
