But I never managed to get it compiled... However, yesterday I saw SMSTools (which is inside CLAM) running on Windows. And it looked really nice...

If you could provide us with an ebuild for this package, it is much more likely to be added to portage...  If you need help with ebuild writing, check out similar ones in /usr/portage and just copy them...
