Iwas trying to emerge kde, and got up to emerging media-libs/libvorbis, and it failed to compile. I then tried to just emerge this package and it still failed (not too surprising... but just in case you wanted to know) I read through some bugs, and it suggested maybe put "-3dnow" in the USE variable in make.conf, but that didn't help. I'm using a K6-2 450, 256 MB SDRAM, vanilla kernel built using default genkernel build... aahm... any more information required? URL has the output from the build... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge media-libs/libvorbis 2. 3. let me know if there's more info required... USE="qt kde -gtk -gnome -alsa -3dnow"
Please post the output from `emerge --info` as requested on the bug submission page. Thanks. Also, I coulnd't get to the output file you listed in the url so you may want to just attach that as a text/plain as well.
Created attachment 19355 [details] output from emerge media-libs/libvorbis
Created attachment 19356 [details] emerge --info output
hope that these attachments give you the info required...
change your mcpu, it's a k6 bug
change mcpu just for this build? What should i change it to? Sorry for the question, but I'm a bit of a newbie, and would appreciate clarrification...
I changed my mcpu to i586 and libvorbis built. Afterwards, I changed back to k6-2... hope it's acceptable to change it like that... I honestly don't know... but I guess I'll find out :)
