rsync8.de is really outdated which may lead to downgrades for a lot of packages. Example after sync from rsync8.de: $ paludis -q vala * dev-lang/vala gentoo: 0.6.1(~) 0.7.9(~) 0.7.10(~) {:0} installed: 0.8.0* {:0} Description: Vala - Compiler for the GObject type system Homepage: http://live.gnome.org/Vala License: LGPL-2.1 Installed time: Fri Apr 02 10:15:30 CEST 2010 Use flags: (coverage) (vapigen) (-test) Build Options: -trace From repositories: gentoo Installed using: paludis-0.44.2 And what it should be: $ paludis -q vala * dev-lang/vala gentoo: 0.7.10(~) 0.8.0(~) {:0} installed: 0.8.0* {:0} Description: Vala - Compiler for the GObject type system Homepage: http://live.gnome.org/Vala License: LGPL-2.1 Installed time: Fri Apr 02 10:15:30 CEST 2010 Use flags: (coverage) (vapigen) (-test) Build Options: -trace From repositories: gentoo Installed using: paludis-0.44.2
http://mirrorstats.gentoo.org/rsync shows that the mirror is lagging by 4 days. CC'ing the admin to check this out.
Pulled off rsync.de.gentoo.org rotation in the mean time so users are not inconvenienced.
Should be fixed now.
Thanks for the quick response. Putting rsync8.de back on rotation, and adding to our automated testing to monitor for a week.
Looks good, thanks.
