Im unable to emerge ~amd64 of brainparty-0.5 for some reason I cannot understand. I have tried to env-update && source /etc/profile before retrying.

See attachments for logs. Any help appreciated(I know its game, but Im curious...)

It's because --as-needed is in your LDFLAGS.

I should be a bit more verbose. This isn't a bug in brainparty or the ebuild. It's to do with the way the shared libraries are linked. See http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/asneeded.xml#doc_chap2_sect3 for more information.

Now $(LIBS) comes after $(OBJFILES) in the linking statement.
