Description Gary Chisholm 2002-05-28 16:40:17 UTC
This has been going on for some time, on 3 different complete installs, Xchat
has been leeking while it's open for awhile ever since the new glibc.

I don't know if this is only me that has this issue but here are some of my flags:

USE="mozilla sse -kde -arts -avi -qt -qtmt -quicktime -3dnow"

CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe"
CXXFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe"

I have compiled with and with every combo in the ebuild "ie: removed ssl, gtk,
gnome"

What Xchat version?
1.8.9 Fixed a Language Memory leak.
Are you using any perl scripts, python, C plugins?
Are you using a Pixmap Theme?
GTK+ Pixmap themes leak memory and this becomes very noticable.
gtk-engines prior to .9 leaked a LOT.

If none of that helps, try a 1.9.x release it features a redesigned plugin core
and also features GTK2.0 so hopefully less memory leaks

Yes, I don't think we can do something for this one.
