When reading the /etc/fstab file and the accomanying documentation, I see that there is nothing to inform a user on how they would change the file so that the normal user that they create for everyday use, can mount the device at /dev/cdroms/cdrom0. I think this would be a useful bit of information to add as I believe quite a few people would like their normal user to be able to mount the drive. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.N/A 2.N/A 3.N/A Actual Results: N/A Expected Results: N/A Keep up the good work :)
Created attachment 19419 [details, diff] Patch that adds "user" as mountoption for the cdrom It's better to default have the possibility for the users to mount the CD-ROM than to explain all possible mount options (although the latter is being thought over for the Gentoo Handbook). Users that don't want the cdrom mountable for users know how to do this :) If a docdev can review this patch I'd appreciate it.
