Description Dennis Freise 2003-10-15 06:08:41 UTC
I'm using pptpd as a server for incoming VPN-connections from Windows-machines
over the internet, but that requires the kernel to be patched with a mppe-
patch - gentoo-sources are patched against it, pppd is patched, but gs-sources
are not. I have to reapply the patch from the gentoo-sources patch tarball
each time a new kernel arrives. Would it be possible to include that patch in
the gs-sources, too ?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gs-sources :)
2.
3.

It also seems to have been dropped from gentoo-sources-2.4.25 too (http://dev.gentoo.org/~livewire/gentoo-sources-2.4.25.patch.bz2).

I can't see a reason in the changelog for this as it was there in the 2.4.22-r7 release :-(

Was this an error in the patch file or has it really been removed?

I too would like to see the mppe patch added back to gentoo-sources-2.4.25. I have to revert back to 2.4.22-r7 until then.
