Isn't this a duplicate bug report? The error lies not in xfree but in the sandbox?
when using a binary version of portage (compile portage on gcc 2.95.3 with --buildpkg) theres no sandbox problem and it will still fail due to ncurses
This bug also hits me. You can compile this program by hand just not through portage. It then errors with the above msg. Does not seem to be related to any env variables set by emerge.
Compiled with a gcc 2.95 compiled version of portage. Another portage problem.
is this still broken ? ive emerged this on gcc3.x systems w/out problems
