Description Gour 2003-10-14 14:29:38 UTC
Today I tried to boot 2.4.23_pre6-gs-r1 kernel, but unfortunately the kernel is patched
with old device-mapper and doesn't support evms2 volumes (I have root partition on evms
volume).

Since gs-sources are the only kernel with win4lin patches, please add evms2 support to
gs-sources and/or add evms2 support to win4lin-sources kernel.

Sincerely,
Gour

I think evms2 is in gs-sources-2.4.25_pre7-r1
Comment 2 Bob Johnson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-27 13:34:42 UTC
-r1 was a attempt to keep evms1.2.1 and also use device mapper
it breaks.

this patch

http://dev.gentoo.org/~livewire/pre7-evms2.patch.bz2

Will remove evms 1.2.1 and add devicemapper
to gs-sources-2.4.25_pre7 (not -r1)

Will get this fixed in -r2
Comment 3 Antonio 2004-03-02 03:00:46 UTC
But gs-sources-2.4.25_pre7-r2 use evms-1.2.1 and device-mapper not compile also win4lin not compile !!!
Where is the correct kernel ???
