After upgrading sci-mathematics/gimps to version 25.11, the installed binary gives a bus error. Errors in the binary are reported by emerge as well. However, the original binary from the tarball runs fine.

The source of the problem seems to be a binary patch that corrects a library problem in version 25.9. The binary of 25.11 is botched when this is applied.

In fact, the library correction is no longer necessary, so I have simply left the patching stage out of the ebuild. After that, GIMPS installs and runs fine.

This is now fixed in CVS, thanks for reporting the problem.
