Hello, I would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission.
Unfortunately, there are simply too many new packages and it's impossible for
Gentoo developers to commit them to the portage in a timely manner.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
Sunrise[1] is an overlay for Gentoo where trusted users are allowed to
commit new ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs. I would strongly suggest that
you visit their webpage[2] or go directly to #gentoo-sunrise channel @
irc.freenode.net for a friendly ebuild review.

Best regards,
Kacper Kowalik

This looks interesting still.

https://github.com/zaf/Asterisk-eSpeak

This still shows activity sporadically, but not much to be perfectly honest.

Is there still interest in this?

(My interest is peaked, but honestly, not enough currently to roll and maintain a package, but it's low-enough release frequency that I'm happy to make some effort if others would like to see this added).

Quality of espeak itself, unless I'm missing something is really not up to scratch (pardon the insinuation) for intended purposes, unless I'm really missing something. Closing.
