It seems gcc-3.3.1 doesn't like implicit casts. This stops wv2 from compiling.

Which version of wv2 does this patch apply to?  I tried it the latest version
of wv2 that I could fine, which was 0.1.9, and it failed on all three hunks.
 Does the newer versiom compile for you by chance?

Yup, compiles fine.

Someday I'll get out of the habit of thinking "oh, I can fix that!".

Fixed with wv2-0.19.  Resolving as FIXED.
