SSIA.

The most recent versions gnome-extra/indicator-applet deps on > 0.3.1, latest released is 0.3.5, its a trivial diff of the in-tree ebuild, no dependencies changed except for the runtime version of indicator-applet (though I'm curious about the need for that in DEPEND rather than just RDEPEND).

Builds and installs just fine here, ~amd64 and ~x86.

As I have discussed this with remi a couple of weeks ago, I bumped all the indicator stuff that is in tree in my personal overlay to get it up to date and see if it's finally usable. It is still desperatly useless compared to what ubuntu ships. As ubuntu people or the guys on launchpad seems unable to keep their own upstream part of the project up to speed, I propose gnome drops itself as a backing herd given the load it adds to the team.
