Nvidia has released drivers that resolve the overheating issues present in 195.36.03 and 195.36.08: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=ODA3MA These drivers also have native support for kernel 2.6.33's interfaces, so they do not need to be patched like 190.53 and 195.30 do now. Reproducible: Always I am marking this as an enhancement, but given that no x11-drivers/nvidia-driver ebuild in the portage tree supports the linux 2.6.33 kernel because the previous ebuilds were removed from the portage tree as of the time of this bug report, it probably should be considered more significant than that.
Already in the tree. http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers/ChangeLog?r1=1.223&r2=1.224
