hi, would it be possible to bump the package to the latest stable version, so we can get the shiny new features that it offers on ubuntu? Reproducible: Always
This would necessitate as well a bump in dev-libs/libindicator to 0.3.0.
So, indicator-applet-0.3.3 relies on changes in the libindicator API in trunk, but I don't believe there has been another release of libindicator since then, so 1) wait 2) apply the patches ourselves 3) try indicator-applet-0.3.2. Will look into it in the near future.
Thx, i recently took the new ubuntu for a test-drive... all because i don't like kde4. And they have done a good job integrating empathy & co into a single applet. It looks really nice, i am trying to replicate most of the desktop with gentoo. Appreciate your work!
Created attachment 224105 [details] gnome-extra/indicator-applet-0.3.3.ebuild So this is just a trivial update of the ebuild in-tree, with the libindicator dependency increased. Obviously the new libindicator isn't in the tree yet either, I have an ebuild here for that too I'll put in a new bug and block this from it.
This bug depends on #310077, the updated libindicator ebuild. (Don't have the privileges to dep it myself).
Thanks for the version bump notice. Assigning to maintainer
