GNU SIP Witch is the VOIP call, provisioning, and feature server of the GNU Project. It offers network scalable services through SIP. GNU SIP Witch only offers registration services and only performs destination selection and routing. GNU SIP Witch uses SIP to resolve media streaming by endpoints. This means GNU SIP Witch is neither inhibited by restrictive codec patents nor imposes additional media latency in VOIP networks. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. Sorry for spamming, but there is already a stable 1.2.5 version and still no ebuild. I would be grateful to have it in portage :) Thank you for reading this.
