Having 2 cabled network profiles configured. 1. (Default) Connection: address assignment via dhcp. 2. Connection: static addesses Wicd is configured to ask for which connection to choose, but it connects to default network profile anyway. When connected it asks for the profile to choose. When choosing profile 2 (static address assignment) wicd-client doesn't connect and won't connect to any cabled network chosen afterwards. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start computer and login 2.choose alternative cabled connection profile (wicd already connected via default profile) Actual Results: No connection is established. Expected Results: Connection via 2. profile with static ip. Connection to wlan works. Manual connection via /etc/init.d/net.eth0 start with proper configured /etc/conf.d/net.eth0 works Restarting /etc/init.d/wicd has no effect. /etc/init.d/net.* aren't configured to start automatically. This bug did not occur in net-misc/wicd-1.6.2.2.
Can you provide some output of wicd.log when attempting to preform the operation?
Created attachment 227177 [details] log of wicd 1.6.22 This log is created by wicd-1.6.2.2. It also connects to default wired configuration before asking which wired configuration to choose. When configuration 2 is choosen wicd-client crashes and the network is not switched. But unlike wicd 1.7.0 the network can be switched succesfully by restarting wicd-client, disconnecting wired-default and connecting to configuration 2.
Created attachment 227179 [details] log of wicd 1.7.0 This is the log of wicd 1.7.0. Unlike in 1.6.0 no network connection can be established after the automatically established connection has been manually disconnected.
