Hi guys.

I see you've added nomad-tool recently to portage, nice!
Oh, btw, if you still need test-reports - the tool is working nicely. In
this version it finally can work for a regular user without any extra tricks
(which makes some checks and setup work in the supplied script unnecessary,
but they don't hart either :)).

Unfortunately the tool lacks gui, and the one listed on author's site is
"not yet complete" for already like 2 years. So rather than waiting for him
to complete this gui I quickly whipped up a simplistic front-end in python,
which I have been using for quite some time already.
This version supports all major functionality provided by nomad-tool, just
doesn't do much feedback durng song addition, (but I am not likely to remedy
this for quite a while). Still it should be workable and useful as is..

So, this is a request to consider adding this script to the package.
Right now I am reassigning this to sound@g.o, as I see this is where nomad-tool
belonged. Feel free to bounce this bug to me if its ok to process it outside
of the herd ;).

nomad-gui.py - advertised front-end

Should go on the mirrors, as its >2k (~4k) even after bzipping. I'll put
it up
somewhere soon although.
Should perhaps depend on tcltk useflag (really needs python with tkinter).

I'll whip-up the update to ebuild shortly.
BTW, present version does not install README and other similar stuff..

nomad-tool-1.3-r1.ebuild

Ok, here goes the ebuild.
I put the script up on the web, so no force-mirroring is necessary.
ebuild should work as is.

BTW, I did a few clean-ups as well.

Added original submitter of nomad-tool to CC, since he might be interested
in testing the front-end

Hey guys,

Its been ove a month since I submitted this thing. Would there be any resolution?

If you are not against adding this script but just haven't got to it, just bounce this bug to me. I'll take care of it myself.
(Just did not want to intrude on your territory ;)).
