Comment 1 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-14 09:19:28 UTC
Identical results for sparc (-mcpu=ultrasparc), perl version installed=
        [  I] dev-lang/perl-5.8.0-r12 (0)

On one system, this package ([ I] dev-perl/perl-tk-800.024-r2 (0)) did
install, it seems, although its files are dated "Jan 13 2003" and its
ebuild is dated September 10.

(For what it's worth, if you package this version of perl-tk and try to
move it to another system to install from the '.tbz2' file, that emerge fails
because it wants sys-dev/perl, not dev-lang/perl.)
Comment 2 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-15 07:49:04 UTC
Notice, however, that on sparc at least, if you just
 emerge perl-tk-800.025.ebuild
you end up with

=========================
antaresia perl-tk # etcat versions dev-perl/perl-tk
[ Results for search key : dev-perl/perl-tk ]
[ Applications found : 1 ]

*  dev-perl/perl-tk :
        [   ] dev-perl/perl-tk-800.024-r1 (0)
        [   ] dev-perl/perl-tk-800.024-r2 (0)
        [M~I] dev-perl/perl-tk-800.025 (0)
===========================
And it works for the demos in the package,
so the best solution might be
  ~sparc => sparc
etc. for perl-tk-800.25
Comment 3 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-25 05:49:57 UTC
same here, 24 fails, 25 compiles please mark this stable :D
Comment 4 Michael Cummings (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-27 07:38:45 UTC
um, this was marked stable around the same time, so I'm closing this out.
