I can't reproduce this. Some element in gst-plugins-bad is failing state change tests due to not even being able to create the element through the element factory. From this output I can't tell much more than that, or figure out what element is having problems. Re-running tests with GST_DEBUG=check:5 in environment would help figuring that out. E.g GST_DEBUG=check:5 emerge -1 gst-plugins-bad seems to work for me. Please get back to us with additional information. An emerge --info is not optional either.
I'm not the original reporter, but I've just run into this myself. I've tried emerging it with the extra environment variable requested, and will attach the log from that run. Thanks, now we know fpsdisplaysink is having problems

(In reply to comment #5) > *** Bug 446046 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Are you sure? I don't get these errors, the problems in bug 446046 are during the execution of camerabin test suite.
I too so a failure in the elements/camerabin test. Is this a duplicate or a seperate bug?

I think that this issue and the camerabin issue on bug 446046 are different. Anyway, I have the camerabin issue. I haven't moved the build log off that machine yet, but the first sign of trouble with GST_DEBUG=check:5 is a message that contains: WARN check elements/camerabin.c:203:setup_camerabin_elements: error setting up test plugins
New failure with 1.4.5: FAIL: elements/audiomixer ========================= Running suite(s): audiomixer 93%: Checks: 16, Failures: 0, Errors: 1 /var/tmp/portage/media-libs/gstreamer-1.4.5/work/gstreamer-1.4.5/libs/gst/check/gstconsistencychecker.c:72:E:general:test_live_seeking:0: (after this point) Test timeout expired
FTR, I have seen timeout issues in unittests while bumping to 1.6 as well but running with -j1 fixes it. I haven't found explicit timeout settings in all tests so we have to find a way to make them wait a bit longer like I did for tests/check/elements/audiomixer.c

gstreamer 0.10 has been finally removed from the tree. I see reports here about 1.x having test issues too, but there are also other bugs with this. If some test failure isn't filed in some other bug, please make a fresh report without all the historical stuff mixed in from 0.10 times as here.
