Description Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-10 09:09:12 UTC
dev-lisp is becoming a large category which needs more than one maintainer.
Please enroll Geoff Cant <geoffrey.cant.1@uni.massey.ac.nz> as a new Gentoo
developer. He has the interest and capability to really contribute to dev-lisp.
I have worked with him via. bugzilla and can vouch for the quality of his work.

Reproducible: Always

Hi Geoff, hold in there... I've heard the process can take about two weeks.
Comment 2 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-20 08:46:17 UTC
I'm doing new dev stuff again for a bit.

I need Geoff's desired username.
Comment 3 Geoff Cant (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-20 13:15:48 UTC
Any of nem, gcant or geoffc would be ok with me.
Comment 4 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-10-23 21:32:23 UTC
There's a questionnaire at http://dev.gentoo.org/~avenj/quiz - it's
not intended to be a test of what you know but rather a way to make sure
you know a few important concepts, especially relating to QA. If you can't
find answers in documentation on the website (policy guide and dev docs in
particular), ask mkennedy or myself.
Comment 5 Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-11-26 11:13:40 UTC
Geoff did you ever respond to the questionnaire?
Comment 6 Geoff Cant (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-13 14:20:01 UTC
I originally emailed my quiz answers to seemant and avenj but recieved no reply. I have quiz answers and an ssh key ready. I'm still interested in becomming a developer so if someone could point out what I can do to help this along I'd be greatful.
Comment 7 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-13 17:03:59 UTC
Patience is a virtue.

Getting a new dev set up with everything takes a nontrivial chunk of time, and I know I've been busy with Real Life lately -- I suspect Seemant has too. The copyright assignment stuff is finally ready, so we are processing new devs again, but it does take some time.

You'll get done soon enough.
Comment 8 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-18 20:46:36 UTC
Geoff, many apologies for the delay. I got your quiz response I'm sure (I'll have to search through my inbox for it). In the meantime, please see this:

http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel

there's a bit about copyright assignment. Can you print that doc out and sign it please. Then either 1. scan it back in and send it to recruiters@gentoo in a gpg signed email or snail mail it to us or fax it to us (for the other two, come on to IRC and talk with seemant, avenj, or spyderous). To be safe, Geoff, maybe it's better if you can email your ssh key and quiz response again, but this time to: recruiters@gentoo

We should have you ready to go as soon as we have the quiz, key and copyright assignment doc.
Comment 9 Matthew Kennedy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-20 08:16:37 UTC
recruiters (avenj/seement/etc.): I have sent CVS/SSH access information etc. to this developer in preparation for when they finally get their account.
Comment 10 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-15 11:19:22 UTC
Geoff, come talk to me on irc please so we can go over your quiz. You can find me on irc.freenode.net with the nick dmwaters. Thanks!
Comment 11 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-16 12:02:31 UTC
Just need copyright, and he's done. I gave him the url today, he says he needs to get access to a scanner, then he'll send it to recruiters@g.o
Comment 12 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-03 21:11:56 UTC
Geoff, I still need your copyright so we can finish setting you up, what's the status on that?
Comment 13 Geoff Cant (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-09 02:36:18 UTC
I've sent the mail with my copyright assignment, pgp details and ssh key to dmwaters@gentoo.org - If I need to send that to recruiters@gentoo.org as well just let me know.
Comment 14 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-09 08:29:13 UTC
yes please send to recruiters@gentoo because that's where we keep a record of who's been added etc
Comment 15 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-09 11:12:25 UTC
Come talk to me on irc, and I'll get you taken care of.
Comment 16 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-09 19:33:12 UTC
