When I quit X by restarting, shutting down going to another terminal the monitor goes into power saving mode. I did not have this problem with the xfree 4.3.0-r2 ebuild. I'm going to try it with 4.3.99.13 just as soon as it downloads and compiles... Update: I've upgraded to xfree 4.3.99.13 and it works fine. Its using the proper refersh rates and I can move around between terminals and quit X without my monitor powering down.
